HOW TO FIND US

We are almost exactly in the middle of the Island, not far from the ‘Centre Stone’, on the main road running north from St. Helier (A9) La Grande Route de St. Jean.

Road works permitting, we are approximately 10 minutes drive from St. Helier in the hamlet of Sion (and well before reaching St. John’s Village).   Passing the former Sion Methodist Church and 'C0-0P' on your left we are the terracotta building on the right – and usually flying the URC flag.

Set among fields, the complex comprises the Church, Hall, Manse, gardens and 2 car parks (one each side of the church).   On most occasions these are adequate – provided you are not in a hurry to leave – but overflow parking is available in the farm yard a few yards further north on the left by kind permission of A1 Services.

Bus services are infrequent, especially in winter, and visitors without transport are invited to telephone our Church Secretary, Michael Ruskin on (01534) 482366 who will be pleased to arrange for collection by a member of our ‘far flung’ congregation.

Please note that since 1980 this has been the only URC in Jersey.   At that time the churches in St. John and St. Helier (Victoria Street) united and the latter building was sold.   It has enjoyed various uses since but some maps (even recent ones) still insist on referring to The URC in Victoria Street.   It is not there!!
